Workshop Description

Get into the spooky spirit at Puffroom Glass Studio! In this 2-hour beginner-friendly lampworking workshop, our tutors will guide you as you shape molten glass under the flame and top your own cocktail stirrer with a playful pumpkin or a spooky little ghost. A fun way to celebrate Halloween with family and friends, and to add a little handmade magic to your drinks. What's Included - 1 or more handmade Halloween glass stirrers per participant to take home - A wide selection of coloured glass and clear stirrer stems - Use of high-quality torches, tools and safety equipment - Step-by-step guidance throughout What You Will Learn - Torch safety and heat control - Shaping glass into a pumpkin or ghost design - Adding accents and details to your piece - Hand-eye coordination to apply, shape and refine glass Schedule 20–30 mins – Safety briefing & demonstration 80–90 mins – Making your Halloween stirrer 10 mins – Cooling and packaging Class size: max 8 participants. No experience needed. Halloween Costumes Welcome! Feel free to come in spooky makeup, face paint or accessories. As we work with open flames, please avoid wide, loose or flowing sleeves and synthetic/polyester materials. Safety & Participation Policy - For safety reasons, we do not accept children under the age of 16. - Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times. - Due to potential and unknown safety risks, pregnant participants cannot be accommodated. Clothing: For your safety while working with hot glass, please wear full shoes, not sandals or open toes for this activity. We will provide apron during workshop, it would be helpful to wear old clothes or natural fibre clothes (such as cotton or wool).
