Workshop Description

Ever wondered how glass jewellery is made? In this 2-hour beginner-friendly lampworking workshop at Puffroom Glass Studio, our tutors will guide you as you melt and shape glass under the flame to create your own glass beads, then turn them into a necklace or bracelet to wear home. What's Included - All the glass beads you make (most people make 2–3, or more depending on pace and design) - 1 stainless steel necklace or bracelet chain (bracelet in gold or stainless steel finish) - High-quality torches, glass rods, tools and safety equipment - Step-by-step guidance throughout What You Will Learn - Torch safety and heat control - Winding and shaping molten glass into beads - Adding colour accents, dots and textures - Cleaning and assembling your beads into jewellery Schedule 15–30 mins – Safety briefing & demonstration 60 mins – Making your glass beads 30–45 mins – Cooling, cleaning & assembly Class size: max 8 participants. No experience needed. Safety & Participation Policy - For safety reasons, we do not accept children under the age of 16. - Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times. - Due to potential and unknown safety risks, pregnant participants cannot be accommodated. Clothing: For your safety while working with hot glass, please wear full shoes, not sandals or open toes for this activity. We will provide apron during workshop, it would be helpful to wear old clothes or natural fibre clothes (such as cotton or wool).
