Workshop Description

Celebrate the festive season at Puffroom Glass Studio! In this 3-hour workshop, our tutors will guide you as you shape molten glass into your own handcrafted Christmas wreath ornament: a keepsake to hang on the tree year after year, or a one-of-a-kind gift. Perfect for beginners. What's Included - 1 handmade glass wreath ornament per participant. If time allows, you're welcome to make 2–3 and take them all home - A spare wreath base, handmade by our studio in advance, for every participant - A wide selection of colourful glass rods - Professional tools and guidance throughout - A hanging ribbon and gift box for your wreath Additional wreath bases are available for £25 each. Add them when you book, or buy them in the studio. What You Will Learn - Safe handling and melting of glass rods - Shaping and joining glass to form your wreath - Adding festive colours and decorative details - Basic control of flame and tools Schedule 30–45 mins – Safety briefing & demonstration Remaining time – Hands-on making, with your tutor's help throughout Cooling and packaging time is not included in the 3-hour workshop duration. Collection & Delivery After the workshop, your wreath needs to be annealed (slowly cooled) in our kiln. You can collect it from the studio after about half a day, or we can post it to you for £10. Safety & Participation Policy - For safety reasons, we do not accept children under the age of 16. - Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times. - Due to potential and unknown safety risks, pregnant participants cannot be accommodated. Clothing: For your safety while working with hot glass, please wear full shoes, not sandals or open toes for this activity. We will provide apron during workshop, it would be helpful to wear old clothes or natural fibre clothes (such as cotton or wool).
