Half-Day Mini Glass Blowing Workshop (10:00-15:00)

This is a glass blowing session with a gas torch, in a form of lampworking. The magic of glass in this intimate mini glass blowing in London. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how molten glass can be shaped, blown, and transformed into a beautiful tiny glass vase. Guided step-by-step by your instructor, you will experience the fascinating process of lampworking and glass blowing techniques in a relaxed small-group setting.

  • The session lasts approximately 3-4 hours (10:00-12:00, 13:00-15:00) with a 1 hour lunch break in the middle, tea and biscuits on the house.

  • With limited participants (Max 2 during the soft lunch time), you'll receive plenty of individual guidance throughout process.

  • Semi-private group format a safe and introduction to working with hot glass.

During the session, you’ll learn how to gather molten glass, blow a small bubble and shape it into your own miniature vase (3–5 cm tall). You will add a delicate handle and colours to make your piece unique.

 

This activity might seem daunting at first, but fret not. Your instructor will there every step of the way, sure you feel comfortable and confident as you learn art of glass blowing. The warm and welcoming of the workshop will ease any worries you might have.

 

At the end of session, you’ll have a charming tiny vase keep as a special handmade or gift, created entirely by you during the. So, whether you're a beginner or someone looking for a unique creative experience in London, this workshop offers a way to explore art molten glass. Workshop Terms & Conditions
By booking a workshop at Puffroom Glass Studio, you agree to the following terms:

1. Workshop Outcomes

  • All workshop pieces are handmade by beginners and may contain minor imperfections. This is a natural characteristic of lampworking.

  • If you prefer a perfectly finished piece, completed artworks are available for purchase from the studio.


2. Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Cancellations require 72 hours’ notice for a refund.

  • Rescheduling requires 24 hours’ notice.

  • Late cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable.

  • In exceptional circumstances, rescheduling may be offered at the studio’s discretion.

The studio reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to safety, equipment, or operational reasons. In such cases, a full refund or transfer will be offered.

3. Conduct & Punctuality

  • Participants must follow all safety instructions at all times.

  • Unsafe, disruptive, or non-compliant behaviour may result in removal from the session without refund.

  • Arrival is required 15 minutes before the scheduled start time to complete safety documentation.

  • Late arrivals cannot be admitted and bookings will be treated as non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • CCTV operates on site for safety and dispute resolution purposes.


4. Safety Requirements

  • Safety glasses and protective aprons must be worn throughout the session.

  • Participants who wear prescription glasses may wish to consider contact lenses for improved comfort while wearing safety eyewear.

  • Long hair must be securely tied back.•

  • Closed-toe shoes are required.

  • Tools and materials become extremely hot — always follow instructor guidance.

5. Health & Participation

  • Workshops involve open flame and high temperatures.

  • Participants are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to attend. If you have health concerns, respiratory sensitivities, or medical conditions, please seek professional advice prior to booking.

  • Participation is undertaken at your own discretion.

  • Minimum age: 16 years.

  • Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the full duration of the session.

6. Liability

  • By attending, you acknowledge the inherent risks associated with glassworking.

  • Puffroom Glass Studio will take reasonable steps to maintain a safe working environment but is not liable for injuries resulting from failure to follow instructions or from participant negligence.

  • Nothing in these terms excludes liability caused by the negligence of Puffroom Glass Studio or its staff.

7. Property & Packaging

  • Participants may be responsible for damage to studio equipment resulting from improper use.

  • The studio is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings.

  • Finished works will be securely packaged.
